Appetite is how a daughter getting married can change the course of one family. When Jenn Adler returns home after a year being in India, she comes with the surprise that she is getting married but her parents, Maggie and Paul don't approve of the upcoming marriage. As time goes on, we learn more about why Jenn left home in the first place and the secrets that both Maggie and Paul are hiding from each other. With Paul facing pressure at work and Maggie wanting to be close to her daughter again, the ending will be bittersweet and how an appetite for anything can change a family for good.

This book is definitely interesting to say the lest but good. Everyone wants the best for their kids but this family is so messed up that they can't see that the daughter is happy while the parents are miserable and it made me like the boyfriend even more due to that even if he is a little odd. The entire time I was reading it, I kept wondering why is this book called Appetite while reading it and by the end, I understood why and it's the perfect name for this book!

Thank You to Sheila Grinell for writing a great debut novel that I can't wait to see what is next!!
