Fast Food Maniac is Jon Hein's journey of exploring fast food in America. With restaurants like McDonald's, Taco Bell to KFC and even little known restaurants like Whataburger and The Varsity, this book has a little bit of history and how they got their big break. Jon even includes his top five favorites of burgers, shakes to even what straw is the best one out there. If you want to know more about your favorite fast food and to learn a few secrets along the way, then this is the book for you!
I love books like this that give you more of how big fast food corporations have started. The book could have been a little better if it included a menu of each restaurant just to give people a sense of what they serve but other than that, it was a pretty fascinating read. I will warn you though, don't read this book while you are hungry, it will make you want things that are not even close to where you live!!
Thank You to Jon Hein for writing this fantastic book and I can't wait to see what other restaurants you write about in the future!!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Blogging For Books!
