Size Matters is a short tale of a man coming to term of his weight at the expense of others. John Frederick is a rather large man who holes up in his bedroom until a new cook by the name of Lexie Alexander enters the picture. With Lexie having to work for a man that she knows nothing about, it takes her entering his room to find who is the reclusive John and why is he hiding. As the both of them open up to each other, it takes a medical scare with John that will force them to look at everything in a whole new light and where they are truly meant to be.

This was a extremely short read that tells the story without it being too rush but the perfect amount for what the story is saying. Reading stories like this one makes you think about how comfortable you can get in your own skin that once it's gone, you need something to help fill the void like what John did by the end of the story. It would be kind of interesting to see a second part to this story set like a year or two later just to see where everyone ends up!

Thank You to Cathryn Novak for writing a short story that I really enjoyed reading!!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from BookSparks : FRC 2016!
