The Assistants is the story of how scheming money off your billionaire boss can change everything. Tina Fontana is a exclusive assistant to Robert Barlow who is the CEO of Titan Corp. After six long years of working and in need of a major change in her life, a technical error from Robert's travel bills will present her an opportunity to pay off her student loans in full but when someone else gets involved it will change things.

With other people getting involved in this scheme to pay off their student loans, a computer program that is brought into the mix will present an opportunity to help other struggling assistants with a little fundraising. As things progress and with Tina having a new boyfriend who gets involved without knowing where this idea started from, a fundraising party will raise questions from everyone. After the successful party, not all is good with Tina and Robert who finds out her dirty little secret and with her new boyfriend. When Tina receives an envelope that will change everything and will put her in a better position with dealing with Robert, it's only when her heart is full will she be happy in the long run. It all ends on a happy note with everyone getting what they want and a new business that changed all of their lives due to a little white lie!

I truly loved this book, it a definite read that will be reread time after time! This book is the modern 9-5 movie that was released in the 80's that had the same situation and I could see this book being made into movie that would be as great as that one. To have an opportunity to pay off your student loans in this kind of scheme would be risky to do in real life but it did make for a great story-line that did have me laughing out loud in some places at what was going on. I also felt the book ended on a good note with everyone getting what they deserve and having someone show up to make amends was perfect!

Thank You to Camille Perri for writing such a great debut novel that I can't wait to see what is to come from you!
