The House Of Bradbury is the story of how one house can change somebody's life. Mia Gladwell has not had it easy the past few months, the book she wrote tanked, her fiance, Carson cheated on her and she is living in her sister's carriage house. A house that was previously owned by Ray Bradbury comes onto the market and Mia does everything to get the house including asking Carson for money to buy it but not is all what it seems with this house.
Soon after moving into her dream home, to fulfill a debt owed to Carson, she takes in a young actress by the name of Zoe, that has a history of drugs and alcohol abuse. With mysterious notes popping up on her door, a sister that doesn't approve of anything and becoming mentor, it all leads to an explosive Thanksgiving where some secrets are revealed and Zoe is in trouble yet again. As things calm down and everything kinda goes back to normal, the person who is leaving the notes is finally revealed and Mia realizes that this new house brought her grief at times but it well worth it in the end!
I really enjoyed reading this book and it will have you hooked almost immediately due to the great writing style. I loved how leaving the notes on the door lead Mia to her true love and it was cool to see how it fit in with the house as well. For being a debut novel, it was a fantastic read that will leave you thinking about what Author's house would you like to live in just to get inspiration or maybe to just find your way like Mia did!
Thank You to Nicole Meier for writing a fantastic debut novel that left me, a reader of yours for life!
