The Next is the story of a haunting gone very wrong! Joanna DeAngelis is on her deathbed and while her two daughters are worried about her, all Joanna can think about is how to get even with her younger ex-boyfriend. As Joanna crosses over and gets her revenge on the ex, she soon realizes where she is meant to be in the end.

I'm torn about this book about hating it and just not liking this book at all. Just reading in the first few pages of what Joanna did while on her deathbed (not wanting to be with her daughters and just wanting to be on social media to stalk her ex) was wrong on so many levels but then at the same time, it paints a true picture of what we have become as a society of being glued to the internet. I do think you have to be in a right place without hearing hate going on like we are in the upcoming election, to fully enjoy this book without looking at it in a negative light.

Thank You to Stephanie Gangi for writing a debut novel that is making me curious to what will be your next book!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from BookSparks : FRC 2016!
