Freedom is Jaycee Dugard's story of her first experiences with everything after being held captive for 18 years. As Jaycee get to learn what life is really like without being held captive, the chance to finally be able to get to do simple things like driving, going to the dentist and to really think about the future. Jaycee shows that anything is possible if you just believe in yourself and anything is possible.
When I first learned of the news that they found Jaycee and her two daughters in a backyard 7 years ago and that she was held captive for 18 years, it made my heart happy but sad at the same time since I knew it was going to be a long hard journey for her and her family. It was nice to read what happened after the events of the last book and what Jaycee has been able to finally do. This is the perfect book that shows how much trauma a person can go through and still come out on the other side, broken but not willing to give up the fight.
Thank You to Jaycee Dugard for sharing your story once again on how your life has changed in the last few years!
