Girl's Weekend follows three women and how just one weekend away from their families will change everything. Dani is married with two kids but not all is well in her marriage as she feels like something needs to change. Charlotte is a married, busy interior decorator with one son but she rarely sees her husband at all due to his work. Meg is still reeling from losing her youngest son, two years prior and feels her family and husband expect more from her by now.

One weekend away from the husbands, kids and to just have a little quiet is all it takes for all three women to want to stay at the beach until they all are able to clear their heads and think about all that is going on within their lives. As they start to find who they are again, nothing is what it seems with the people they are hanging around and with things back at home, a little dicey due to their decision about staying away from a while, one night will change everything. After a terrifying call from home, they make the decision to head home but as they learned, everything will be different for everyone.

I really loved this story and you can't help but feel for what Meg is going through by losing a child at such a young age. It was interesting to see how each woman was able to get through their problems and with such surprising acts that came from them especially what Charlotte did. The only complaint I have with the book is how it ended, I just wished that it would have giving more to what happened when they got back home but who knows hopefully we get to see more of these women is the future!

Thank You to Cara Sue Achterburg for writing another fantastic book that will leave you wanting more and I can't wait to read more books by you!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley!
