The Breakdown is a thriller that will leave you wondering who can you really trust! Cass was driving home one dark, stormy night after a dinner with friends and thought she could take a shortcut through the woods. While driving down the road, she sees a car pulled over on the side with a woman inside but didn't think much of it until the next day when the news breaks that a woman was killed on that road around the same time as she was on it. With the fact that her husband told her to not to use that road at nighttime and with Cass having memory issues that reminds her of her mother having early onset Alzheimer's, nothing is what it seems anymore.

As Cass starts to get mysterious calls and with a husband and a close friend worried about her mental state, Cass starts to lose her mind or is she close to the truth. With everything falling into piece about what is really going on at home and what had really happened that night of the murder, Cass discovers the horrifying truth about everything in the most shocking ending to a story that will leave you on the edge of your seat!!

I don't know how B.A. Paris does it but she has to be one of the best Authors that gets you so wrapped up in a story that when everything is revealed, you can't help but to just sit there in shock over everything!!When this book first started, you can't help but to be annoyed by what Cass is doing but as things start to happen, you soon will love Cass for everything she has to endure by the end! I would highly suggest reading this book just not during a storm or by yourself unless you want to scare yourself silly for events that happen in this book that make you wonder if something like this would ever happen to you!!

Thank You to B.A. Paris for writing a great 2nd book that will keep my coming back for more!!
