The Truth We Bury is the story of how an act of violence will bring people together or tear them apart. Lily Isley's life seems to be perfect with a rich husband, living in a ritzy gated part of Dallas and having a decorated Marine son named AJ. With AJ set to marry the love of his life Shea, it takes a murder of one of Shea's bridesmaids for everything to fall apart.

Dru Gallagher is the mother of Shea and doesn't care for AJ much due to him having PTSD. After running from a ex-husband that threatened both her and Shea with a gun and having PTSD, the look that AJ gets in his eyes reminds her of what she was running from and fears for Shea's life. With a killer on the loose and with Shea fighting for AJ, claiming he didn't murder the bridesmaid or do the things that the police are saying he did. It all comes down to a huge family secret and with someone that they never imagined to be in the middle of everything, for everyone to come together in the most unexpected way ever!

This book was a great thriller that kept me up way past my bedtime to only finished it after only 5 hours of sleep because I had to know who did it and how it was gonna all end!! As you start to get into this story, you start to question yourself on is AJ really the killer or is it someone else trying to set him up but how it all ended was kinda shocking but perfect for this story! I really love books like this one that the  Author will draw you into this world on the first page and will keep you thinking about the story long after you finish the book! This book truly deserves to be made into a movie just to see it all play out on the big screen!!

Thank You to Barbara Taylor Sissel for writing a great book that made me go to bed late and early to rise just to see how this book will end!!
